Celebrity Pro-Am Friday, Jun 26 2009

On Celebrity Pro-Am day at the Travelers Championship, we went searching for stars. We spotted baseball legend Sandy Koufax hitting balls at the practice facility and NFL coaching legend Bill Belichick signing autographs after his round. Then, we spotted a Wilson approaching the first tee. Owen or Luke? It was the “Old School” Wilson, not the “Wedding Crashers” brother. The fans screamed “Luke!” as he signed hats and programs. Turns out, Luke Wilson talks a lot like the characters he plays dry, witty, monotone. Asked if he was nervous, Wilson said, “I prefer to play alone. It’s kind of fun; it’s cool.” Asked how he prepared, Wilson said he took three Advils and he was off to the tee.
